The Quilt Association owns and manages The Minerva Arts Centre in Llanidloes where it is based. As a member of Art Textiles: Made in Britain I will be exhibiting and running a two day workshop this Spring.

Exhibition and workshops by the contemporary group Art Textiles: Made in Britain.
My workshop is 1/2 June
African masks influenced Modern artists such as Picasso and Matisse, leading to the movement known as Cubism, with fragmented shapes and vivid colour. We will create an artwork with paper and stitch, using newspapers, magazines, muslin and glue to create a “paper fabric” as a collage base. We will use free motion stitching to produce a cubist style piece which can be mounted over canvas. No drawing or painting skills are required for this workshop.
